I have been advised by my nutritionist to up my intake of vitamins and minerals in my diet to help both my digestive and immune systems. A great way to do this is by incorporating dried seaweed into the foods I eat, my nutritionist recommended I look out for a packet of Ao-Nori Flakes. Dried seaweed is packed full of the vitamins and minerals the human body needs containing high levels of iron and protein as well as being a great source of calcium, magnesium, vitamin C and amino acids.
I found Ao-Nori Flakes in my local health food shop. I now have a good 2 tablespoons of Ao-Nori every day, sprinking the flakes in salads, on top of soups or pasta dishes to give my body the vitamin boost it needs. An added bonus is the great taste the Ao-Nori brings by adding a slightly salty, nutty depth of flavour to the food I am eating.
